Due to some folks being afraid of spiders I have decided to test putting the shots of Latha on the blog but put a cover picture that does not show the spider. Latha is a daughter of a garden spider we had here in the yard last year who left behind egg sacks which begot Latha. So while I was messing around looking for a good cover page for FB, I took a few different shots around the yard.
No one should be afraid of flowers.
I found this spider web next to the fish pond. The water is from the sprinkler system that ran last night. I just thought it was kind of cool.
I put the camera at water level in the big pond to try to get a cliff affect.
Found this young male Cardinal in the back yard.
Ah, the main attraction, Latha.. Our famous garden spider.
The way the sun was glistening off the water of my mini water wheel fountain caught my eye.
I then thought I would take a shot from on top of the water fall on our large pond looking down. I need to work on the affects. Does not look quite right yet.
This is just photo shots that I take that do not pertain to motorcycle riding.

2013 Eagan Reunion
A great time it was and we still got to meet more, his cousin PJ and family were down from the North East.
Here is Dave getting ready to put his famous ribs on the grill.
Some body said something interesting.
Looks like they said something unbelievable.
Ah, look at the camera. I got their attention.
Cutting Ribs, yum..
Al Dave's cat.
A true surprise?
For those of you who know Kevin this is more than just possible. Very good and funny on top of it all.

Rail Tunnel Work Needed
Looks like I need to put the wee people back to work to handle some Tunnel work. We had 2.4 inches of rain in the last few days and there was some erosion on the hill.
It also looks like Schimmel's parking lot needs some work. They best get on it as the wee people will be mighty thirsty after the work ahead on the tunnel.
John did not waste any time on getting the parking lot ready.
What I found interesting is that we got such hard rain or so much of it, apparently the decomposed granite shrunk about a 1/2 inch except under the truck.
The wee people showed up and started working.
If all goes according to plan stay tuned for part II tomorrow. Got to go now.

A bit of Water hear in Euless TX
Yesterday within 24 hours we got 2.3 inches of rain. So here are some shots before we got the second 1 inch of rain. We have two creek beds behind my house, one is always wet and one is normally dry.
These next few shots are of the dry one, about 1 hour after the rain quit so I am guessing it was higher. It is about 4 feet deep here under the deck behind my neighbors house.
Some shots of our creek. Oh, in light of how much rain many folks have had I know this is nothing, but for us, in the month of August, heck two rain drops is a big deal. LOL
Looks like it stopped just before going over.
Took a walk to our park pond.

I ran across this Black Bellied Whistling Duck, not real common in these parts but at any rate chalk one more up for my bird count for my yard area.
