Train Yard Crab fest and Dragon Fly

Got my new Train Car dock box, so far it is proving to be a good investment.  I can store my train cars and misc. gear.  I still take the engines in the house. 

Just a shot of the train yard from the deck.  Notice where the read flowers are and how it turned out on the next few shots after the one below.  I just thought it was interesting. 

Started getting one of those surprise spring rains.  I just thought this was an interesting shot.

Had some grilled crab legs with Philip and of course my wife Valerie. 

Now check out this guy.  He looks to me like he is smiling.  He has been hanging around for a couple of days.  Today I had the Tiki torches out and one was putting smoke on his landing post.  He kept buzzing me, so I moved the torch and sure enough he went right back to the post.  There are a lot of shots here, I just do not know which ones I like the best, they all had their attributes so I uploaded them all. 

Wee People, Frogs, GoldFish, in train yard



The pond in the train yard has a new visitor/inhabitant.  His/her name is Nelson.  Been  around for a few weeks now and folks sent me name suggestions and the first name was Nelson so it be it. 

 

 

All of the Wee People had a busy day today.  First they built the fairy garden. 

Then the Gnome Garden

Put some rocks around the church, you can tell we have had some rains lately.

The Wee People now put to work on the crossing into Farrar's property. 

The train with the rocks and gravel finally shows up. 

All done now Wee People off to Schimmel's Big Rail and Shoe Bar and Grill. 

Now for the fish story.  I bought some gold fish for the pond AKA Lake Braton and believe it or not those dang things must have Salmon in their blood.  They insist upon swimming up stream.  So I put some rock dams along the way.  They still managed to traverse the creek.

Now about 20-30 feet up stream.

These two obstacles are only the half of what these fish had to over come.  They are hardy and determined.

Rail Yard Recent Tweaks with Little People too

My dogs seem to love laying and leaving deposits in my train yard.  We have lots of yard for all of that but no they need to get right in the middle of things just to keep me busy.  But they love to lay next to Nicholas Hill.  Here is Rickie.

Now will she stay like this when the train comes by?

Nope!  And not happy with a good nap being interrupted.

When weed eating the train yard, I stepped on a support rock which took the track out of being stable.  So had to call in the wee people to add some stability.  At the end of the day they did a good job.

I think Schimmel's bar and grill will change to Schimmel's Big Rail bar and grill.  Got this rail from the son, Harold, of Mr and Mrs Snelson who are no longer with us.  Mr Snelson worked for Union Pacific and Harold thought I would like this piece.

 
Watching the race while uploading today's shots.  My out door computer room.   Got a fire going and if you look at the TV this was big one #1 at Taladaga.  For my NASCAR buddies they know what I mean.
