In Memory of our good friend Jerry Tyra

Jerry a good friend of ours from Denver passed away and we traveled down to his and Cathy's house in Lindale TX.  Here are some shots of the memorial party Cathy held. 

On the way on Hwy 20 while rolling I took this shot. 

I got hungry so we stopped about 60 miles out to search for food. We did not get any here as it was just after high noon and folks from all over were at every eatery.  But took some shots of the flowers.

On the way back home we had to take a shot of Sandy's Pies shop.  We were very short on time so I did not look up a good friend of mine Brandon, but Sandy and Brandon lived next door to me and we all grew very close.

We took Val's car as when I pulled mine out of the garage I discovered a fluid leak, not sure 100% what it is, so off to the shop it will go. 

Down the road a spell we found a rest stop and decided to stop. 

Old track move and install - April 12 2013

Remember I had that old track within the inner circle.  My intent was to let it over grow and look like old unused track.  Well as it was raised it started to look sloppy but did have the semi desired look but it also restricted my movement within the inner circle lay out.  So I thought to myself and did some moving of it that should give me the desired affect but yet make it easier to maintain.

Ok, now for you pros.  I was thinking of running the road from where you see the flatbed semi towards the creek and inbetween the two track have a car/truck bridge.  Any suggestions or go/no go thoughts.  The next several shots should give an idea of what I am up against. 

 

Plants around the waterfall growing in the rocks.

Several weeks ago, Val and I noticed these little plants coming up from the rocks around the waterfall.  Today I noticed they had grown to the point of being truly noticable.  Here are some shots.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Them are ducks

My goofy girls kept barking in the back yard so I just had to go see what was up.  Sure enough the dang ducks from the pond in the park decided to take a walk.  They were just 20-25 feet from the boarder fence and my dogs know how to go around the fence but they either decided to behave (not likely) or they were not sure what they would be getting into with dealing with those incredibly brave ducks.

Second road nearly done - April 11

Had a few problems at work after hours but I was able to get some done today.  My hill is improving, we had another rain yesterday and still erosion factor very small. 

The crew is starting the work.

 

I was able to order a church, I hope, the last one I ordered the web site told me they really did not have it in stock, so I will see.  At any rate this is the future site so I need to start building the road up to it.
