Ok, so this might be a bit corney. Anyway the journey starts from behind my deck and barn into the woods in my neighbors yard.
Now I am in the woods by about two feet, as you can guess during the summer this gets very dense and hard to see more than a few feet in front of you.
To give a better idea of how dense thereby shade, here is a shot only about 3 feet off my property line into the woods shooting back towards my deck. I made no adjustments to the shutter or appeture.
Heading a little deeper into the woods. At one time this was all yard.
I have now hit the main path from my neighbors back door to the deck built some 10 or more years ago.
I am a little apprehensive about walking on the deck, do not think any human has been on it for a couple of years. There is about a 6-8 foot drop from the top to the dry creek bed below.
Instead of traversing the deck, I will hang a right where the original deck was. At one time there was three, I will take you to the third in another Photo walk about some other time.
Now at the original deck, as you can tell the floor is gone and your looking at the deck I showed you a bit ago and the dry creek bottom. This fills up during flooding of the normal wet creek about 50 yards from here. At one time you could see the wet creek from this location and Earl had a bunch of small roofed sitting areas that were lighted but over the years they are completely gone.
Just a cool shot shot for me of the floor support beams.
A shot at my very back (north end) yard. I was surprised that I could see it, I had to move the camera past some brush imediatly in front of me.
A look down into the dry creek bed.
A shot of side wall of the floorless deck.
I got brave enough to walk onto the deck I showed earlier and took a shot of the bridge that was designed to allow you to go over the bed onto the other side. I have seen that bridge be under water by 5 feet more once.
It is hard to believe this was all sand and cleared out area at one time. He had one of those large swinging chairs back here next to the wet creek.
This might seem confusing but as long as I am on the old deck with a floor I shot back to where I was on hill where the deck with no floor is.
A shot at above. This will get real dense during the summer. Those are large wild grape vines running around the trees.
This is looking back to Earls house on the main path. The large branch like thing is not a branch but a large wild grape vine.
Well back on my property line. Looking towards front.
Headed back from where I came end of this particular Photo walkabout.
This is just photo shots that I take that do not pertain to motorcycle riding.
